OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. PROMOTION BEGINS AT 8:00 AM (CST) ON MAY 4, 2010 AND ENDS AT 10:00 PM (CST) ON MAY 7, 2010.
1. PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: My Mom Rocks! (“Promotion”) begins at 8:00 AM (CST) ON MAY 4, 2010 and ends at 10:00 PM (CST) ON MAY 7, 2010 (“Promotion Period”).
2. HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Period, go to www.luckystardesigns.net (the “Website”), then go to the Blog and click on the "Mother's Day Promotion" post at www.luckystardesigns.blogspot.com (the “Mother's Day Promotion” post), Read description of giveaway and comment on the blog post per the entry rules, one entry per user.
You will be entered into the Promotion once you fan Lucky Star Designs & Photography on Facebook and comment on the Blog with your paragraph of why your Mom Rocks, You may only enter one time per person. ENTRANT MUST COMPLETE THE STEPS PRIOR TO 10:00 PM (CST) ON MAY 7, 2010 to be included in the contest. Entry Limit: one (1) entry per user. Prize Limit: one (1) grand prize per user during the Promotion Period. All entries become the exclusive property of Lucky Star Designs & Photography (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned. In the event of any dispute concerning the identity of any entrant, the relevant entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the applicable email.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: One grand prize winner will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted within 24 hours after the applicable Entry Period, the winner, as determined by Sponsor, will be deemed the winner for that Grand Prize (“Grand Prize Winner”). The decisions of Sponsor in determining each Grand Prize Winner are final. Winner will be separately notified by Sponsor in the manner specified in these Official Rules. Three additional winners (Secondary Prize Winners) will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted within 2 days of the end of the contest between 12:00 AM (ET) on May 9, 2010 through 11:59 PM (ET) on May 10, 2010.
4. PRIZES AND ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize: A Free Family or Individual Portrait Session (valued at $120), an autographed copy of "Harlot's Sauce: A Memoir of Food, Family, Love, Loss, and Greece" by Patricia Volonakis Davis, and a Mid-Sized Scentsy System (includes a mid-sized warmer and three Scentsy bars).
Three (3) Secondary Winners: 1/2 price Family or Portrait Session (value $60) and Scentsy Scented Spray.
5. ELIGIBILITY: Promotion open to individual legal residents of Dallas-Fort Worth area and surrounding counties who are at least twelve (12) years of age or older as of May 4, 2010.
6. NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF WINNERS AND DELIVERY OF PRIZES: Winners will be notified by telephone, e-mail and/or postal mail using the contact information provided at the time of registration. Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by the potential Entry Period Winner for any reason. If, despite Sponsor’s reasonable efforts, a potential Entry Period Winner does not respond within five (5) days of the first notification attempt, such potential Entry Period Winner’s prize may be forfeited and an alternate Entry Period Winner may be selected. If any potential Entry Period Winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines a prize for any reason prior to award, such potential Entry Period Winner may be disqualified and an alternate Entry Period Winner may be selected. Each Entry Period Winner agrees to Sponsor’s use of her/his name, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law.
7. GENERAL: This Promotion is void outside Dallas-Fort Worth area and where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Promotion will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Texas. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. Sponsor and its parents, successors, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, printers, distributors, and the respective officers, directors, employees, representative and agents of each and any other person or entity related in any way (together with Sponsor, the “Promotion Entities”) are not responsible for: (a) late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due or misdirected entries, e-mails or other communications; (b) errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices or transmission lines; (c) data corruption, theft, destruction, loss, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials; or (d) electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in entrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. The use of automated software or computer programs to register for, or otherwise play or enter into this Promotion is prohibited and any individual who uses or attempts to use such methods in connection with the Promotion will be disqualified. The Promotion Entities disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Promotion and to tally, and award prizes based on, all eligible non-suspect entries received prior to such action, if any virus, bug, technical failure, unauthorized human intervention or other cause outside of Sponsor’s control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion. In the event of any such modification, cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted on the Website. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant (and all of her/his Promotion entries) from this Promotion or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor if she/he tampers with the entry process or if her/his fraud, misconduct or other action or inaction affects the integrity of this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to correct clerical or typographical errors in promotional materials. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor and judges and warrants that she/he is eligible to participate in this Promotion. In addition, each entrant by participating in this Promotion agrees on her/his behalf (and on behalf of her/his heirs), to release the Promotion Entities and hold them harmless from and against any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from her/his participation in this Promotion or any Promotion-related activity or from the award, acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any prize-related activity.
8. CAUTION. ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. WINNERS’ NAMES: To obtain winners’ names, send an email to: miranda@luckystardesigns.net. Prize winners’ names request must be received by December 1, 2010. Winners’ names also will be posted on www.luckystardesigns.net on the Blog after selection and verification of winners.

She teaches me new things everyday and honestly I cannot imagine ever living without her. Im off to Texas Tech in the fall, and that will be the first hard thing is leaving everyone behind in frisco, esp my mom. My Mom is my best friend who I can talk to about anything and she's always the first person I call about anything happening, well unless its a car problem ;), dad. My Mom is a hard worker and her work pays off tremendously. I am so amazed on how she handles her work life and takes care of us so well. Me and my brother are so lucky. And without a doubt I think my mom deserves and day off to take pictures and relax under the sun. ♥ "
